Job Description:

This contract opportunity is for a registered nurse to work on a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Omaha, Nebraska. The role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as cardiac issues, nephrology, strokes, and diabetes, as well as monitoring patients with continuous EEG. The position requires managing titratable drips like Cardizem, betablockers, and seizure medications, with a typical shift of 12 hours during night hours. Expect to collaborate closely with charge nurses and nurse aides, with a patient ratio of about 1:4-5, on units that prioritize positive communication, critical thinking, and quick problem solving. This assignment offers an engaging experience in a busy, high-acuity setting, where nurses must adapt to rapid changes and deliver top-quality care with a positive attitude.
