Job Description:

Join a challenging float pool as a PCU Float Registered Nurse, providing care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple units within a hospital. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over a 17-week contract. Flexibility is key, as you'll float between Medical-Surgical (MS), Medical Telemetry (MS Tele), and Progressive Care Units (PCU), applying your skills to a diverse patient population. The position emphasizes adaptability, requiring familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems, and a team-oriented mindset to handle varying census ratios from 1:4-6. The unique aspect of this assignment is the need for candidates to be comfortable working in float units with a wide range of diagnoses and unit protocols, including orientation to different patient populations and systems.
