Job Description:

This dedicated Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum RN role immerses you in postpartum nursing, focusing on caring for new mothers and their babies in a 32-bed unit that does not require ICU-level care. You'll work the night shift, performing comprehensive postpartum assessments, supporting breastfeeding, and managing various drips such as magnesium, insulin, and heparin. Expect to float within your scope of practice to meet the needs of antepartum and newborn patients, including those with fetal monitoring or late preterm concerns. The role emphasizes teamwork and adaptability, with ratios typically around 1:3 or up to 6 patients, ensuring personalized care for each mother and baby. This assignment offers a blend of routine postpartum nursing with some unique challenges, making it a rewarding chapter in your nursing journey.
