Job Description:

Join a dedicated neuro medicine-surgical unit in Peoria, Illinois, for a 13-week travel assignment as a registered nurse. This role involves night shifts, where you'll be caring for patients with stroke, spine surgery, seizures, brain tumors, and head injuries, including those with neuroscience conditions. The setting offers an opportunity to apply your level 1 trauma experience and expertise in neuro-specific protocols, such as heparin titrations, in a supportive environment. Expect a collaborative team with a charge nurse and house supervisor on duty 24/7, along with nurse aides. Job Specifics:

Total hours per week: 48 hours
This role offers a competitive weekly gross pay of approximately $2,870.20. You will receive orientation before beginning your shift, with guaranteed hours during orientation. The unit assigns patients with neurological and trauma conditions, demanding experienced nurses with neuro-specific skills. You will work with telemetry-equipped monitors and perform tasks such as troubleshooting high-flow devices and titrating heparin drips. The unit supports a team-based approach, with nurse aides, charge nurses, and house supervisors always present to assist with patient care. Weekend and holiday work are required, along with every-other-weekend duty, but floating to general units is part of the assignment. Proper certification, a current Illinois license, and prior travel experience are mandatory to qualify for this position.
