Job Description:

Join our team for a 13-week travel contract at a busy adult mental health unit in Salem, Massachusetts. This role involves working on a 30-bed unit caring for adults aged 18 to 65 with diverse mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and dual diagnosis. You’ll rotate through day, evening, and overnight shifts, offering a varied schedule that keeps each day interesting. The work environment provides an opportunity to develop both leadership skills and clinical expertise, as you will assume charge nurse responsibilities and handle admissions and discharges. The unit also manages medically acute patients, including those with IVs, wound care needs, and diabetic management. A proficiency with electronic medication dispensing and EMR documentation in EPIC is essential. If you are an experienced adult psych RN with a Massachusetts license and BLS certification, this assignment could be a perfect fit for your next adventure in mental health nursing.
