Job Description:

Join a 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit as a registered nurse on a 13-week contract in Wausau, Wisconsin. This role involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing an excellent opportunity to experience the calm and quiet of overnight hours while delivering essential patient care. You'll be responsible for managing patients with a variety of conditions, including trauma, sepsis, neurological injuries, and post-surgical recovery, with a focus on ventilator and trach management. The work is fast-paced and rewarding, with plenty of room to sharpen your skills in a stable, high-acuity environment. This assignment is uniquely suited to experienced RNs comfortable with stepdown and intermediate care, and who enjoy floating to different units as needed. The unit features a mix of heavy telemetry, trauma, and complex cases, making it an engaging challenge for resilient professionals.
