Job Description:

Join the Aspirus Wausau Short Stay Unit for a 13-week contract as a registered nurse with a focus on intermediate care. You will float across all inpatient units, including IMC and CTU, providing vital support in observation and MS/Tele units. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with guaranteed hours of 36 per week and opportunities for flexible scheduling in low census scenarios. The unique setting allows you to interpret EKG strips, manage cardiac drips, and deliver efficient care in a fast-paced environment. You’ll experience the rewarding challenge of caring for patients with conditions like anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, as well as pre- and post-op urology and GI cases. This position emphasizes resilience, independence, and collaboration, making it ideal for seasoned nurses eager to expand their skills and adapt to changing circumstances.
