August 1st

August 1st

It's August 1st. 2018 is more than half over. We are on the downhill slide. Fall is coming. This past weekend I was at Bath and Body Works with my wife (they were having a hand soap sale...$3 each...can't beat that) and pumpkin/fall/leaves/cinnamon everything was front and center. The MLB Trade Deadline was yesterday. If you play fantasy football, you probably have a draft invite in your inbox. School starts this month. Summer is over.

Knowing all this, I have only one question. Have you made the most of it? Where is your New Year's resolution? Are you where you want to be? If not, the good news is, it's August 1st, the year is only half over. The bad news is, it's August 1st, the year is half over.

Time is an asset. It might be your #1 asset. None of us are getting any younger. Luckily, time moves at the same speed for all of us. I have just as much as you, and you have just as much as the next person. It's what you do with it that defines you.

So what are you waiting for? Block out the negative, only allow the positive in. Don't just say yes, ask yourself "why not"? Then work through the details of that answer. There is nothing wrong with dreaming big for yourself. You only have one life. Go live it. Do what you've been told can't be done. Make today the day. I know this sounds like a cheesy motivational speech, but don't we all need that from time to time? Motivational quotes on Facebook and Instagram are great, but they are meaningless if you just scroll by. Same with this. Don't let your moment pass you by. There is nothing worse than regret.

Are you ready? Is this your time?

Don't wait. Get out there and kick some ass!

No, seriously! Do it!
