Job Description:

Join a dedicated respiratory care team for a 13-week travel assignment working 36-hour night shifts at a busy hospital in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. As a Respiratory Nurse, you will provide critical care to patients with respiratory conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, and other lung diseases. You'll enjoy the variety of caring for both respiratory-specific and general medical patients, including those with GI issues, diabetes, or recovering from stroke or surgery. The role involves floating to different units and hospitals as needed and collaborating daily with an interdisciplinary team in a 42-bed Medical Respiratory Unit and an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit. This is a patient-facing position where your expertise will directly impact patient recovery and comfort. Expect to work with a 1:6 or 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, depending on the unit, with some holiday and weekend shifts included.
