Job Description:

This contract position places you in the Newborn Nursery at an acute care hospital, working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. You'll be part of a dedicated team caring for newborns in a unit that features 40 beds and maintains a patient ratio of approximately 1:5 or 1:6. Your responsibilities will include supporting routines such as circumcisions and assisting with nursery procedures, all within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where multi-tasking is essential. The unit values experience, especially candidates with over two years of newborn or NICU experience, and a team player attitude. Expect to work four days per week, with a total commitment of 36 hours weekly, for a duration of 13 weeks. This assignment offers a chance to experience a unit recognized as "America’s Best Maternity Hospital 2023" by Newsweek and the only hospital in Texas with a Grade A Leapfrog ranking since the list’s inception.
