Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers registered nurses an opportunity to work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting in Kearney, Nebraska. The role involves 12-hour night shifts, allowing for focused patient interactions and hands-on experience with adult cardiac, vascular, and renal patients. You'll be responsible for managing patients with complex conditions, titrating multiple drips such as Heparin, Nitro, and Dopamine, and interpreting cardiac telemetry strips. The assignment emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and adaptability, with support from a charge nurse and patient care techs. Expect to navigate a diverse patient population, including medication administration, troubleshooting high-flow oxygen devices, and engaging with a culturally varied community. This position is unique in its blend of technical skill development and emphasis on patient safety and satisfaction, set in a hospital environment that values responsiveness and communication.
