Job Description:

Join our team as a telemetry nurse in Fort Madison, Iowa, for this 13-week assignment on a 12-hour night shift. You'll be responsible for overseeing patient monitoring, interpreting telemetry strips, and ensuring accurate assessment of cardiac rhythms. To get started, you'll need to self-study telemetry strips upon acceptance, with a basic dysrhythmia test out scheduled during your first week—pass that, and you're good to go. This role offers the chance to work closely with patients across Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry units, providing high-quality care that combines technical skill with compassionate interaction. While there may be occasional on-call duties during low census periods, you'll be expected to respond and arrive on-site within an hour when called. Your expertise in ACLS, NIH, and Epic systems will be essential to success in this position.
