Job Description:

Join our team as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) on a 13-week night shift contract in Wilmington, NC. This role involves providing care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, GI bleed, anemia, and hip fractures, among others. You’ll be working in an environment that includes COVID isolation areas and multi-level care, including stepdown units. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, and your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, wound care, and airway management, utilizing systems like Epic and Pyxis. This assignment is unique in its requirement for flexibility in a storm or disaster scenario, with possible unit consolidation mid-contract. RTO is limited to seven days, and there is floating required across units. You will be expected to work within a staffing ratio of 1:5-6 and participate in a comprehensive one-day orientation to familiarize you with hospital protocols and procedures.
