Job Description:

Join a dedicated healthcare team in this engaging 13-week travel contract on the beautiful Big Island. You will work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit that includes both Step-down ICU and telemetry sections. Expect to provide primary nursing care, monitor telemetry strips, and perform procedures like fingerstick blood sugar checks, all while utilizing Meditech charting, Pyxis medication systems, and cardiac monitoring equipment. This role offers a varied schedule of 36 hours per week following orientation, with the flexibility to float across all acute units, including medical, surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER. Candidates must have at least one year of recent hospital acute care experience, with telemetry and progressive care experience preferred. Active Hawaii licensure is mandatory prior to starting, and certifications like ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS are valued. This assignment is perfect for a nurse ready to experience the unique rhythms of Hawaii, all while making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, diverse clinical setting.
