Job Description:

Join a well-respected healthcare team at Los Alamos Medical Center as an RN in the PACU Preop unit. Your primary role will involve preparing adult patients for surgery and managing their recovery post-operation. This contract offers the chance to work closely with a small, specialized team in a 3-bed unit, where patient ratios are typically 1:1 or 1:2. You'll use your PACU experience to support patients recovering from common procedures like appendectomies and gallbladder removals. This assignment has a touch of the unexpected—be ready for on-call shifts that require prompt response within 30 minutes after notification, and some weekend call coverage. It’s a focused, engaging opportunity to practice your skills in a tight-knit, adult patient care setting that values efficiency and expertise.
