Job Description:

Join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in Kearney, Nebraska, working 12-hour night shifts in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). As a vital member of this nursing team, you'll be responsible for caring for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including cardiac conditions, vascular issues, and respiratory concerns. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5, offering a balanced pace that allows you to deliver quality care while maintaining your own well-being. Your expertise in managing arterial lines, titrating drips such as Heparin and Dopamine, and interpreting telemetry strips will be essential to ensure patient safety. The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and communication, with a focus on providing an excellent patient experience while working with a culturally diverse population that primarily includes Hispanic and Somali patients. You will have the opportunity to troubleshoot high-flow oxygen devices, assist with portable lifts, and collaborate closely with charge nurses and patient care techs, fostering a collaborative environment.
