Job Description:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a bustling facility in Shreveport, LA. This 13-week contract offers the chance to work 12-hour night shifts, primarily caring for adult surgical and medical ICU patients with complex diagnoses such as stroke, respiratory failure, sepsis, and neuro injuries. You’ll be managing ventilators, assisting with intubation and extubation, handling vasoactive medications, and performing total care for critically ill patients in a unit equipped with Meditech Expanse EMR and specialized ICU equipment. Expect to float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed, with a Venn diagram of support staff including Charge RN, CNA, PICC team, RT, and hospitalists that keep things running smoothly—making this a well-rounded ICU experience with a playful twist of neuro and cardiac cases making every shift engaging.
