Job Description:

Join a corrections healthcare team providing specialized Medical-Surgical and Oncology nursing in a secure Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections facility. This role involves floating across various units, including Pediatric Care Units (PCU) and Medical-Surgical wards, with a focus on oncology treatments, complex patient monitoring, and emergency response. Shifts are scheduled for 12-hour nights, offering a rhythm that suits night owls, and the assignment mixes inpatient care with responsibilities in a locked correctional environment. Expect to navigate EPIC charting, manage IV therapies, and interpret telemetry data—all while ensuring safety in a setting where inmate security is a priority. The assignment requires adaptability, a strong understanding of oncology protocols, and comfort working in a controlled, secure environment that balances patient medical needs with custodial safety.
