Job Description:

Join a cardiac stepdown unit in Albany, GA, for a 17-week contract working 12-hour night shifts. This role is designed for experienced cardiovascular nurses with at least two years of stepdown experience in an acute care setting. You’ll care for patients recovering from cardiac surgeries like CABG, thoracotomies, and EVAR, as well as those with CHF, arrhythmias, or pacemakers. Expect to interpret read strips, manage drips including Cardizem and amiodarone, and coordinate care for a wide variety of cardiac conditions. The facility values agility, as floating to ICU may be required, but only for nurses with ICU experience. Nurses are expected to work every other weekend, and holidays as needed. You’ll be part of a fast-paced environment with quick room turnovers and a high level of autonomy in patient management, making this a uniquely engaging stepdown assignment.
