Job Description:

Join the MedSurg Neuro Ortho team in Medford, Oregon as a Travel RN for 12-hour night shifts. In this role, you’ll support patients with strokes, neuro-related concerns, spine care, traumatic brain injuries, altered mental status, and ortho needs including total joints, external fixation, and fractures. Stroke and neuro experience are a must, and experience with total joint precautions, awareness, and ambulating is preferred.

Night shift coverage runs 1845-0715 with 12-hour shifts overall. You’ll also work with remote tele monitoring (monitored by a tele tech on a separate unit); you should have a basic understanding of strip interpretation and lethal rhythms. Charge nurse coverage is available 24/7 and does not take an assignment, with a break nurse on site, plus house supervisor and critical care outreach support 24/7.

Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours during the first work week, and the facility does not accommodate scheduling requests—travelers are used to fill schedule needs as they arise. BLS is required and NIHSS certification is preferred. Out-of-state RN licensure is welcome, with eligibility for a 90-day temporary license if your permanent license is not posted before the assignment begins.

Expect mild, comfortable days with a mix of dry and overcast weather, and occasional showers. Nights can feel cooler, so layering helps.
