Job Description:

Join a MedSurg Oncology RN team in Medford, Oregon for a 13-week travel contract covering 12-hour night shifts. In this role, you’ll support medical oncology patients through hands-on bedside nursing activities, including general assessments, IV starts, portacath access, and medication administration. You’ll also perform and manage key lines and therapies—bring your competence with chest tubes, central lines, and heparin drips as part of the routine workflow.

This assignment is structured around two 12-hour shifts and includes orientation requirements: 12 non-billable orientation hours during the first work week (guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation). Staffing ratios vary by day/evening coverage (days 4–5:1; nights 4–6:1), and charge support is available, though the charge nurse rarely takes patients.

To be considered, you’ll need 2 years of experience with MedSurg experience required. BLS is required; ONS preferred, with CHPN and OCN also preferred. Chemo experience is only required if specified during the interview submission process. Licensure flexibility is available for non-Oregon RNs via a 90-day temporary license if the permanent license is not posted before the assignment begins.
