Job Description:

Join a travel team as an RN supporting a mixed Adult PCU/Oncology and Med/Surg unit in Omaha, Nebraska. This assignment includes oncology-focused work within a combined unit structure, where you’ll manage adult patients across oncology and trauma-related presentations while collaborating with a full complement of unit support (PT/OT, RN case management, social work, educator, and dietitian).

Shift options are 12-hour days (7a–7p, 7a–3p, 3p–7p, 7p–11p, 11p–7a, 7p–7a) with weekend requirements every other weekend. You’ll work with a typical RN ratio of 1:4 on PCU and 1:5 on Med/Surg, and float within the same level of care as needed.

The unit requires ACLS and BLS, plus ONS/ONCC certification. Experience expectations include at least 1 year of charge-level experience, and oncology/PCU experience is preferred. You may encounter titratable/monitored drips and medications including chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, and protonix. Orientation includes 2 days, and during orientation you will take a Friday pass/fail exam and an open-book skills exam; a 90% score is required to pass.

Chemo certification is required. Fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails in departments providing patient care—refusal to remove will lead to termination of contract. Please note: candidates must be within a 50-mile radius (driver’s license required at submittal) and may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and/or Dignity).
