Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced travel role supporting a Level 1 trauma, Stroke, and STEMI Emergency Department in Columbia, Missouri. This ER Registered Nurse position runs night shifts, with a schedule designed around 12-hour blocks and coverage that includes 50% holidays and every other weekend. You’ll work 50% between the ED and ED Obs, floating between assigned areas as needed while staying focused on high-acuity emergency care workflows.

What makes this assignment unique is the mix of cases and setup: a Level 1 environment with a pediatric ED inside the UH ED, plus an associated psych center (you will not float to the psych center). Expect an active role requiring frequent ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs, along with routine exposure to patients who may have contagious illnesses.

Requirements include ACLS and PALS, with CPI preferred. Two years of ER experience are required; first-time travelers are eligible with Level I trauma experience. Rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and work during inclement weather are part of the schedule.
