Job Description:

Work as a Registered Nurse on a post-surgical inpatient unit in Wausau, Wisconsin, providing care for adults and geriatric patients along a surgical continuum. This travel contract follows a 12-hour nights schedule (7p-7a), with unit coverage that may flex between day/night variables as needed. Expect a fast-paced workflow with meaningful variety across post-recovery needs, a typical rhythm of admissions throughout the week, and strong teamwork as you prioritize based on acuity.

What makes this assignment unique: the unit can experience low-census periods that may result in shorter work needs in 4-hour increments (up to 4 or 8 hours requested on a given shift). These low-census hours are not considered call, and the contract remains focused on your guaranteed set weekly hours outside holiday closures. You’ll use Epic EMR daily, including Epic charting and Rovers medication scanning, with Alaris pumps in the care workflow. Trauma level II experience is required, and prior travel experience is required.

Schedule structure includes every-other weekend coverage and holiday participation, with floating to all inpatient units as needed.
