Job Description:

Join a 13-week travel healthcare contract as a night-shift clinician supporting a 21-bed Med-Surg Neurology unit at a Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy program. This assignment features a 12-hour nights schedule with 48 hours per week, where your experience with neurological-focused workflows and post-surgical support will be put to use daily.

You’ll work with patients and cases that may include neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, TBI, spinal cord injury, and surgical procedures such as tumor resections (brain and spine), spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer. The unit also includes a Level IV Epilepsy Center experience, including implanted electrodes and scalp leads—one of the region’s only epilepsy centers of its kind.

What sets this role apart is the hands-on mix of advanced equipment and medication/infusion support, including chest tubes, lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients, trachs/laryngectomies, telemetry, complex wound care, central line care and maintenance (including blood draws), and drip management such as diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone.

Expect crisp, cool air with a mix of cloud cover and clear days, along with occasional breezy conditions. Nights can feel especially chilly, so layering is a good idea.
