Job Description:

Step into a short-term acute care Emergency Department role as an ER Registered Nurse in Milford, Connecticut—built for experienced clinicians who enjoy fast, high-acuity decision-making. You’ll work 3x12 nights (1900–0730), rounding out your week with a steady 36.0 hours while supporting both adult and pediatric emergencies as part of a general ER combined setting.

This assignment focuses on hands-on emergency care tasks including triage, isolation precautions, and management of dysrhythmias. Your clinical toolkit will include IV initiation and maintenance, central line care/management, and medication administration with IV vasopressors. Respiratory support is a core part of the work—caring for ventilated patients and using CPAP/BiPAP as needed.

Minimum 2 years’ ER experience is required, and first-time travelers are welcome. Expect weekend coverage every other weekend and the possibility of floating within the unit if needed. Documentation is completed in EPIC, and you’ll bring current credentials including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC.

Expect cool, crisp days with occasional cloudy stretches and the possibility of brisk evenings. Weather can shift quickly, so layering is helpful for time both indoors and outdoors.
