Job Description:

Join our team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse for a travel healthcare contract in Shreveport, Louisiana. This assignment is built around weekday consistency, with a 5x8 schedule (6:30a–3:00p, Monday through Friday), giving you your evenings back while you support the flow of the operating room. You’ll be working within a fast, process-driven surgical services setting where RN experience in general OR and trauma is preferred.

A key part of this role is readiness for occasional emergency events. After you begin the assignment, your unit manager may assign you to an “Emergency Team,” with an expectation to remain at the facility until after the event passes or to support the relief team. Details related to pay will be shared for each emergency event, since impacts vary. If emergency team expectations aren’t a good fit for you, please don’t apply.

For credentials, BLS is preferred (training can be provided if needed). Call is possible, and shifts may vary, including weekend coverage, to be discussed during the interview. Holiday coverage is provided as needed.

Weather:

Expect warm, humid days with the occasional afternoon shower and plenty of sunshine. Evenings are typically comfortable, though rain can move through quickly.
