Job Description:

Join a travel healthcare contract in Yakima, Washington as a Registered Nurse supporting ICU-level care in a busy non-profit community hospital setting. This role is built around hands-on ICU workflows you can expect to encounter daily—post-cath monitoring, TR band management, and femoral approach observations, along with a mix of medical and surgical patients including vascular, abdominal, and GI cases. You’ll also work with common ICU equipment and therapies such as chest tubes and wound vacs, coordinate frequent dressing changes, and help manage drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin. The pace includes real-time critical monitoring and care for patient types such as CHF, respiratory distress, ACS, A-fib RVR, diabetes, CVA overflow, and post-cath patients using BiPAP and blood product administration as needed.

Shift structure follows a 12-hour day schedule with staffing needs that may include weekend rotation every other weekend. The EMR is EPIC, and experience handling ICU clinical tasks with Telemetry/Med-Surg/Neurology support areas is helpful as needed. You’ll bring a minimum of 2 years of relevant ICU experience and current ACLS and BLS certifications for this assignment.
