Job Description:

Join a fast-paced Med/Surg team in a hospital setting, delivering hands-on care on a surgical-focused floor handling patients pre- and post-operatively. This contract is built for nurses with acute care surgical experience, including Stepdown/PCU experience. You’ll care for patients with a range of post-surgical needs—new drains, wounds, trachs, ostomies, and NG/DH tubes—so you can expect a mix of standard and more complex workflow that requires confidence with post-operative equipment and monitoring.

Shift structure is 12-hour days, working 36 hours per week for 13 weeks. You’ll document patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments, monitor physiological data, administer medications, and help coordinate care with the care team while supporting patient and family communication throughout the inpatient stay and at discharge.

Weather:

Expect generally mild, comfortable days with a mix of sun and clouds, along with occasional warm spells and cooler evenings. Bring layers for temperature swings and be ready for brief changes in conditions.
