Job Description:

Step into a busy Emergency Department setting in Charlotte, North Carolina, where every shift brings new, high-acuity challenges and rapid decision-making. This travel contract is for an experienced RN who can thrive in a fast-paced ED workflow while supporting adult and pediatric emergencies across a wide range of complaints and diagnoses.

You’ll manage heavy stabilization needs alongside a varied patient mix, including high-acuity trauma presentations and a significant volume of patients dealing with complex mental health and substance-related concerns. The ED is not trauma designated, with trauma patients transferred to a main facility after stabilization—so your work will focus on early assessment, resuscitation readiness, and timely escalation.

Expect a team-driven environment with support from CNA, reception, and charge nurses, using EPIC with Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell for medication dispensing. You should be comfortable with ED-specific critical interventions such as cardiac rhythm interpretation, PIV starts, critical care drips, TNK/TPA administration, and conscious sedation, along with meeting required certifications.

This role also includes potential regional floating to affiliated facilities as needed within scope of practice. Orientation includes 2 departmental days, and scheduling follows a 6-week cycle with a weekend rotation every other weekend.
