Job Description:

Join a high-acuity ED/Trauma team in Phoenix, Arizona as a travel healthcare professional on 12-hour night shifts for a 13-week contract. This assignment supports care across acute and subacute trauma beds, including trauma bays, with floats available between St. Joseph’s Main, St. Joseph’s Westgate, and two free-standing ER locations in Litchfield Park and Glendale (about 30 minutes apart). You’ll experience a busy, fast-moving workflow with strong procedural expectations—day one includes a pass/fail exam (study guide provided) and ongoing readiness skills training.

Required experience includes at least 6 months in a Level 1 trauma environment, plus 2 years of ER experience. You’ll complete SIMs Lab requirements for specific skills, including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (with defined exceptions depending on assigned area). The team structure includes charge nurses for tasking/light load, PCT support for sitters, and RT/pharmacy services throughout the shift. Expect a mix of trauma, burns, and pediatric transfers, along with frequent psych holds.
