Job Description:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Oncology at a vibrant facility in Hilo, Hawaii. This role involves independently administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and injections like hormonal treatments. You will access ports such as port-a-caths, PICCs, and Hickman catheters, perform venipuncture, and manage dressings and labs via these access points. Your detailed clinical documentation ensures the patient's condition, response to treatments, and medications are accurately recorded. The role offers a chance to educate patients, families, and caregivers about treatment plans and side effects. Working in an 18-bed semi-private bay environment, you'll need to verify informed consents and handle hazardous drugs with proper PPE usage. The schedule is centered on 12-hour night shifts, providing a unique experience in a beautiful setting.
