Job Description:

This opportunity places you in the heart of the Family Birth Center, where you'll support a busy labor and delivery unit equipped with 19 PP beds, 12 L&D beds, and 2 ORs. Expect to engage in a variety of responsibilities including assisting with high-risk deliveries, managing complex obstetric cases, and supporting mother and baby post-delivery. The role involves 12-hour night shifts, offering a chance to experience the unique rhythm of overnight caregiving in a vibrant hospital setting. Your work will be crucial during peak times in July and October, when the unit sees increased activity. A proctored dysrhythmia test on day one will help determine your readiness—it's a pass/fail challenge for telemetry, emergency, and critical care RN competencies. You’ll collaborate with an experienced team, including a clinical supervisor and a nurse manager, ensuring smooth operations through a 3 weekend shift commitment every 4 weeks. Expect to use Cerner EMR and Fetal Link surveillance tools, with a hospital-provided scrub color to keep your look sharp. Preparing for this role means being ready for the fast-paced, unpredictable moments that define obstetrics nursing, all while providing exceptional support to mothers, babies, and their families.
