Job Description:

This ER travel contract in Freeport, Illinois offers a unique chance to work in a busy community hospital setting, providing emergency care to an diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics. As an ER nurse, you'll handle an average of 60-80 patients per day, managing a wide range of diagnoses, from minor injuries like stubbed toes to critical cases such as MI or MVA. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts, with flexible start times and the opportunity to experience different patient care scenarios. The unit is equipped with a triage area, behavioral health rooms, and solid support staff including RTs, techs, and charge nurses. This assignment allows you to demonstrate your skills in moderate sedation, lumbar puncture, and managing critical care drips, all while collaborating with a dedicated team committed to providing timely emergency services.
