Job Description:

Seeking a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) for a 13-week contract in a busy surgical services environment. This role involves working 12-hour day shifts, performing a variety of procedures including general, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, spine, neuro, bariatrics, robotics, ENT, plastics, and breast surgeries. A key highlight is the requirement for neuro case experience, specifically craniotomies. The tech will assist with cases using equipment like Bovie, suction, drills, video systems, and navigation tools, typically handling 4-5 cases per day. On-call responsibilities are scheduled for one weeknight (Monday-Friday, 11p-7a) and two weekend days per 4-week period, with expectations to report after Sunday night call or be prepared for short shifts if called in. The position offers an engaging environment for first-time traveler experience, with scrubs provided. This contract requires a minimum of 1.5 years of experience, and all scheduling, including time off requests, must be submitted upfront. Travelers should be comfortable with making up shifts if called out, especially during weekends. The working environment is lively, with the opportunity to gain specialized neuro case experience in a fast-paced surgical setting.
