Job Description:

This ICU nursing contract offers the chance to work in a mixed unit housing MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU pods, perfect for experienced critical care RNs looking for a challenging yet rewarding assignment. You'll manage complex ICU patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, and trauma, often requiring skills like ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and proning. The role involves providing direct, hands-on care with patient ratios typically ranging from 1:1 to 1:3, depending on acuity. Expect to work 48-hour night shifts over a 13-week period, with mandatory certifications including TNCC, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Epic charting experience is essential, and familiarity with advanced equipment like Impella, IABP, and CRRT is strongly preferred. Prior ICU experience, especially outside travel, is required, along with the ability to function comfortably in a fast-paced environment that might include floating to other adult units. This is a role ideal for RNs who thrive on critical thinking, teamwork, and a variable but impactful workday.
