Job Description:

This travel healthcare contract offers an exciting opportunity to work in a high-acuity Level II Trauma Emergency Department with 71 beds, functioning as a Level I. The position involves managing multi-system trauma patients, STEMI, stroke, CHF, COPD, GI, GU, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and psychiatric cases. You'll be responsible for trach care, vent management, ICU drip care, chest tubes, lines (art line, CVL, PICC, midline, port), Foley placements, and ortho device care, along with supportive procedures like bipap/hiflow and continuous bladder irrigation. Expect to collaborate closely with a team that includes CNAs, receptionists, charge nurses, phlebotomists, hospitalists, and others, utilizing Cerner EMR, Plum 360 pumps, and Omnicell medication systems. The shift schedule includes 7a-7p, 7p-7a, 11a-11p, and 3p-3a cycles over four weeks, with a commitment of 36 hours per week for a duration of 13 weeks. This assignment is ideal for experienced critical care professionals with at least 2 years of ICU, ER, or MS hold experience, especially those familiar with Cerner or Epic systems and trauma or higher-level emergency experience.
