Job Description:

This cardiac stepdown nursing position offers a unique chance to work in a specialized unit dedicated to postoperative cardiac care, including thoracotomies, CABG, pacemaker management, and CHF patients. Scheduled for 12-hour night shifts, the role involves interpreting cardiac strips, managing drips like Cardizem and amiodarone, and providing vital patient support in a fast-paced environment. The facility emphasizes quick patient turnover, with a typical census of 32-38 patients, requiring efficient assessments and interventions. Your expertise in cardiac care and familiarity with EMR systems like Meditech will help ensure smooth patient transitions and quality care. A keen eye for detail and ability to adapt to floating to ICU when needed are essential to succeed in this role.
