Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment places you in Aspirus Wausau Hospital’s Short Stay Unit, where you'll be working 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. You'll be floating across inpatient units, including the IMC and CTU, providing vital support during a busy observation unit that manages patients with conditions such as COPD, dehydration, and post-op care. Your expertise in reading strips and interpreting EKGs will be essential as you monitor patients with complex needs, including administering drips like Cardizem, Nitro, and Insulin. Expect to handle a patient ratio of 1:4, with an average stay of up to 48 hours. This role offers guaranteed hours of 48 per week, with some variability for low census hours, and requires a resilient, adaptable team player who can thrive amidst constant change and collaborate effectively with staff to ensure the best patient outcomes.
