Job Description:

Join a lively behavioral health unit as a travel healthcare professional, where you'll work a consistent 12-hour day shift for a 13-week assignment in Terre Haute, Indiana. This role involves providing essential support to a 19-bed unit with a team of 45 staff members, including RNs, mental health technicians, and therapists. Your day will be spent performing routine assessments, medication administration, blood glucose checks, and dressing changes when needed. You'll also be utilizing Meditech electronic medical records to document patient activities. The role offers a balanced workload with patient ratios of approximately 1:6 or 1:7, and the opportunity to work with medical equipment including wheelchairs, cycler dialysis, and wound vacs.

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience, along with Meditech EMR familiarity, BLS, and CPI certifications. Medical experience and skills in assessments and documentation are highly valued. This assignment provides a unique chance to immerse yourself in a dynamic environment dedicated to mental health care while working alongside a committed team in a well-equipped setting.
