Job Description:

Join our team as a registered nurse in a cardiac stepdown unit at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO. This 16-week contract offers a chance to work primarily during night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with a commitment of 36 hours per week. You'll be responsible for monitoring post-op CABG, valve patients, thoracotomies, respiratory failure cases, and individuals presenting with chest pain. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within a supportive environment that emphasizes teamwork and professionalism. Be prepared to work with advanced equipment like chest tubes and temporary pacemakers, and collaborate across departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a well-respected facility that holds multiple national certifications.
