Job Description:

Join us for an engaging 13-week contract as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Hazard, Kentucky. This role is perfect for experienced RNs looking to take on a rewarding challenge in a 34-bed Stepdown/PCU unit, where you'll work every other weekend on a rotating 12-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Your expertise in managing patient status changes, working within a 1:5 nurse-patient ratio, and utilizing Meditech EMR will be vital to providing excellent care across a variety of cases. The position requires current accreditation in AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH, along with a Kentucky or compact license. You’ll be a vital part of a team that values float flexibility within scope of practice and adherence to safety protocols, all while enjoying a workplace that keeps your skills sharp and your schedule balanced.

Job Specifics:

Location: Hazard, Kentucky
Shift: 12-hour rotating day shift (07:00 - 19:30)
Duration: 13 weeks, with a commitment of 48 hours per week. The assignment includes every other weekend. Orientation occurs bi-weekly, and the schedule cannot be blocked or modified. The candidate must reside at least 75 miles from the facility and hold a valid driver’s license with matching address on the ARH coversheet.
