Job Description:

Join a fast-paced Cardiac Progressive Care Unit in Rapid City as a Registered Nurse with a focus on post-cardiac and vascular patient recovery. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of acuity levels, including intermediate care, telemetry, and MedSurg, in a 44-bed facility. As part of this assignment, you'll manage direct admits, ED admits, and post-procedure patients such as TAVR, cardiac caths, and open-heart surgeries. Expect to interpret cardiac rhythms, administer titratable cardiac medications, and support patients throughout their recovery journey—sometimes stepping into precepting roles. Shifts are 12 hours, with an every-other-weekend rotation, providing a balanced work schedule over 16 weeks. Experience with cardiac protocols and Epic charting is preferred, along with current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. This position offers a lively environment for nurses ready to make a difference on a unit where acute cardiac care is at the forefront.
