Job Description:

This 13-week travel nursing position takes place in a reputable medical unit within a 24-bed general medicine floor at Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. You'll be working scheduled 12-hour night shifts, providing critical support during a busy overnight period. The role involves managing a patient load with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, utilizing Cerner EMR system, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. Your responsibilities will include delivering high-quality care aligned with unit protocols, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort—all while embracing the institution's patient-centered approach. Occasional float requirements across units in the acute care division offer varied experiences, making each shift fresh and engaging. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, BLS and NIHSS certifications, and a professionalism that aligns with the hospital’s standards.
