Job Description:

This respiratory therapy position in the NICU at a prominent children's hospital is a chance to work within a specialized environment that demands your skills and attention. The role involves providing respiratory and neuro diagnostics support in a Level 4 NICU, with a focus on neonates requiring advanced respiratory interventions and neuro assessments. The schedule features 12-hour day shifts every other weekend and requires working 36 hours per week over an 18-week contract. You'll join a team that values your expertise and offers the possibility of longer assignments through early 2027, with some flexibility around holiday coverage. A self-scheduling model provides some autonomy, with managers available to clarify expectations. Candidates must have NICU-level respiratory experience, a valid RRT certification, BLS, and NRP credentials. A Virginia license is preferred, but out-of-state licenses can be submitted with a pending temporary permit, provided the applicant can obtain it before start.
