Job Description:

This ICU Registered Nurse contract offers a chance to work in a 33-bed adult ICU unit, specializing in trauma, cardiac cases, stroke, and vascular procedures. You will be responsible for managing patients requiring titratable drips such as cardiac medications, insulin, and sedation, and interpreting telemetry strips. The role involves 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend required, giving you meaningful work and time to explore the city’s offerings. The assignment challenges your clinical skills in a fast-paced environment while providing an opportunity to immerse yourself in complex cases unique to this setting. Artificial nails are prohibited, and mandatory certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Expect to collaborate with nurse aides and healthcare support techs while maintaining a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3. This contract prioritizes experienced ICU RNs who thrive in acute care scenarios and can adapt quickly to the unit’s needs.
