Job Description:

This CVICU travel assignment offers the opportunity to work with post-operative open heart surgical patients, including CABG, valve surgeries, and vascular procedures. You'll be stepping into a busy, high-stakes environment where your expertise in cardiovascular intensive care will be put to good use. The role involves managing complex patient cases with equipment like IABPs, ECMO, Swan-Ganz catheters, and ventilators. Expect to perform titration of potent drips such as dopamine, levophed, and vasopressin, while interpreting complex cardiac strips. The setting requires quick critical thinking, effective communication, and a strong grasp of ICU protocols. This is a fast-paced ICU that demands independence and confidence from seasoned CVICU nurses who can hit the ground running and handle multiple advanced interventions simultaneously.
