Job Description:

This Pediatric Progressive Care Unit (PCU) role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with complex medical and surgical pediatric patients in a fast-paced environment. You'll be responsible for managing general med-surg cases, telemetry monitoring, and specialized care for patients with renal, postoperative spinal, and chronic-care needs. The shift involves 36 hours per week with variable days and nights, including weekends and holidays, providing a real chance to experience the ebb and flow of a busy pediatric unit. While you'll mainly focus on patient assessment, medication administration, and equipment management like telemetry and infusion pumps, you'll get to experience unique procedures such as drain care, trach management, and IV access. This role is ideal for RNs with strong IV skills, telemetry interpretation, and a compassionate approach to pediatric patients. Expect to join an engaged team that values clinical skills and personal dedication in a setting that balances challenge with meaningful patient interactions.
