Job Description:

Join our team on a 13-week contract in Lumberton, North Carolina, as a Registered Nurse specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment with six operating rooms, a procedure room, and an endoscopy suite, rotating through Pre-Op and PACU areas, including Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery. The schedule is primarily weekdays from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with call duties every fourth weekend. You'll experience a variety of cases, from pediatrics to adults, including GYN, general, bariatrics, urology, ortho, spine, ENT, and endoscopy procedures. This assignment is perfect for experienced RNs comfortable with critical care, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, and IV insertion. Your expertise will be essential in managing patient discharge and recovery, often handling boarded patients when inpatient beds are full. A familiarity with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing is required, along with all necessary certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI/MOAB. The role involves floating across units and providing high-quality patient recovery care in a supportive team setting.
