Job Description:

Join a hospital specializing in neurological and neurosurgical care for a stepdown neuro registered nurse role. This 13-week contract offers a chance to work in a 36 or 48-hour weekly schedule, specifically on 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. You will be caring for patients with conditions such as strokes, aneurysms, seizures, and brain or spinal cord tumors on a multi-care level unit with a focus on medical-surgical and telemetry care. The unit includes advanced monitoring beds, and nurses should be prepared to float frequently within the scope of the unit, including potential assignments at different hospital locations. Prior experience of at least 2 years in a large urban hospital is required, and EPIC charting experience is mandatory. Be ready for a fast-paced environment where drips are standard on all floors and nursing ratios vary from 1:3-4 for stepdown to 1:5-6 on med-surg and telemetry. This role includes working two out of four weekends, holiday shifts, and the flexibility to float within scope as needed. The facility is a nicotine-free environment with mandatory scrubs and parking options available.
